Get a Pass

Monday, November 14, 2011 by NY Skyride Stories
With prices so expensive in NY, we found a way to see the city and still get to what’s equivalent to group travel discounts. By visitingnewyorkattractionpasses.com, we got a great overview of various top flite discount passes. While AAA and other organizations have good discounts, you need to belong to them to take advantage of discounted tours on new York..

This site explained the passes really well – which ones work on a time frame vs. which ones work on how many places you can see. We liked the amount of things you could do with the NYC Pass but in the end settled on the Explorer Pass which allowed us to do New York at a more leisurely pace.

NY Skyride: Thank you for the tips! NYC tourist attractions can be very valuable when using NYC Pass packages like the Explorer Pass and the New York Pass, the latter available right here on our website!

The New York Pass Rocks!

Tuesday, August 30, 2011 by NY Skyride Stories
I remember as a college kid coming to NYC on a New York Student Travel trip. We did a New York City bus tour (I think it was a company called Apple Tours, a double decker bus company now defunct). We also did a 2 hour cruise on the famous Circle Line boats on the Hudson River as well as one or two hours on their neighbor, the historic Intrepid Museum, a converted WWII aircraft carrier.

The trip was very memorable and I am going to repeat the trip with my girlfriend this summer. The only difference is I’m going to buy a NYC Pass. This is a super great deal where you can get over 100 things to do for one set price! I’ll tell you how great it is on another blog.

NY Skyride: New York student travel is always fun and easy with a New York City bus tour. I'm glad your bust trip and your visit to Circle Line Cruises and Intrepid Museum were so memorable for you. And yes! The NYC City Pass is a great way to see multiple NYC tourist attractions in one, two or seven days. Feel free to purchase your passes right here on our website and remember - start your day early. Our virtual tour simulator opens at 8AM and so does the Empire State Building observation deck. Have fun!

We did it with the NY PASS

Wednesday, August 24, 2011 by NY Skyride Stories
If you’re going to do a tour in new york city and looking for things to see in New York – I can’t think of a better way than to get the NYC Pass. Knowing how expensive the city is (I choked on the hotel breakfast bill), I thought this was the best deal in the world. With the New York Pass you can see many museums, do hop on hop off tours on double decker buses, take bike tours, walking tours and so much more. The book was so chock full of stuff that at the end of the day we usually had a burger or pizza instead of going for a fancy dinner. We were just too pooped to go party anymore.

I highly suggest the New York Pass as one of the best deals for sightseeing in New York!

NY Skyride: Thank you for your post Barbara. And what a great tip! The NYC pass is a great deal sold right here at skyride.com and offers free entry to nearly every New York City tourist attraction there is. So glad you enjoyed your trip.

Uranquinty to New York

Wednesday, August 24, 2011 by NY Skyride Stories
I have a number of children and one of them has always been particularly reserved. I pictured her getting married and having children, not trotting across the globe. Last year she finished high school and this year she has been studying child care. Ten weeks ago she left for Chicago to work on a camp for adults and children with cerebal palsy - with out knowing a single person. Next week she finishes at the camp and heads of for a week in New York - parting from all the wonderful friends she has made at camp. She has worked so hard - as have all of the kids who have been on the camp. Tickets to this game for 4 people would mean that she could take three other people from the backpackers lodge that she is staying at which would be fabulous. I know one of her goals was to go to a serious game while she was in the States. The very idea that this she has left our hometown of Uranquinty with a population of 715 people and landing in New York alone amazes me.

NY Skyride: Thank you for your entry Mollie. How proud you must be of your daughter and her brave travels! I encourage her backpackers lodge to contact us at reservations@skyride.com for group travel discounts to NY Skyride, the Empire State Building observation deck and other NYC tourist attractions during their stay here. Best of luck to winning!

pizza near the old yankee stadium

Friday, June 24, 2011 by NY Skyride Stories
i used to hear the yankee games from my roof of my building on Walton avenue in the 1960's my family could not afford to go to the games, but we did eat at the chinese resturant across from the stadium with .75 dinners and the dollar pizza up the street, and the sawdust at the grocery store floor. Grand union was really close to the stadium also and they had Penguin soda for $1.00 Eventulally i did get to go to a game and also bowling at stadium bowl (bat day is the day i went) they probably don't have bat day anymore due to security reasons. Nobody had intentions of using the bat for anything except to take home to play baseball. These days, who knows. Times sure have changed. My brother wants to take my son to a yankee game in August. - We really cant afford now - he has never been to a Yankee game - we live in Florida. we need to win the tickets.

NY Skyride: Thank you for your memories....sometimes we forget that in addition to being a famous New York City tourist attraction, Yankee Stadium is also part of many people's lifes and neighborhood homes.  We wish you the best of luck in the drawing.

A little dated but a lot of fun

Thursday, June 23, 2011 by NY Skyride Stories
My comment here is simple: The Skyride is a little old and dated but I enjoyed it and the kids LOVED it. We came to have fun in the city and the Skyride was just that…fun. Not sophisticated by today’s technology, not 3D or IMAX, just a nice half hour presentation with a 15 minute moving ride .

For fun things to do in New York I would recommend it.

NY Skyride: We are New York's only virtual tour simulator and still one of the most popular NYC tourist attractions.  Thank you for your appreciation....it is greatly received.  The simulator we use at NY Skyride is the only one of its kind in the world.  We take great pride in maintaining and operating it.  We try to keep it running like new!
