my favorite place to be is NYC, because of all the beautiful views of such beautiful things! My favorite though is the rockefeller center because that is where i have most memories. Every christmas my family and i go to new york and we head straight for the tree. and we also go ontop of the building. my favorite part of the building is the chandelear of the empire state building, upside down! New york city is the best place to be!!! i love all the sights and seeings.
NY Skyride: Thank you for your entry Maryjean! Rocketfeller Center is beautiful. Especially around the holidays. And we're thrilled to learn how much you enjoyed the Empire State Building attractions during your NYC sightseeing adventures. We hope you visit again this year.

My 90 year-old Grandpa and I waited outside an Applebees as my parents argued inside with a manager about the poor service we had. I was told to wait outside with him because he gets too worked up over money.
My Grandpa acted as if he didn't know what was going on inside but wandered in; I reluctantly let him. Next thing you know, I look in through the windows a moment later and people at the bar turn their heads to him as he is being forced back towards the front door by my dad. He's hollering and threatening the manager and flipping out shouting "you're taking advantage of me!" even though the meal was not on his tab, but my dad's.
We were kicked out of an Applebees. My mom (my grandpa's daughter) yelled at him for the embarassment all the way home. My dad and I stayed ahead to let them duke it out. As we walked, an enormous NY rat scattered by.
NY Skyride: Sorry to hear about your Grandpa's experience at Applebees, but we hope your family will go New York City sightseeing again very soon!

I remember as a college kid coming to NYC on a New York Student Travel trip. We did a New York City bus tour (I think it was a company called Apple Tours, a double decker bus company now defunct). We also did a 2 hour cruise on the famous Circle Line boats on the Hudson River as well as one or two hours on their neighbor, the historic Intrepid Museum, a converted WWII aircraft carrier.
The trip was very memorable and I am going to repeat the trip with my girlfriend this summer. The only difference is I’m going to buy a NYC Pass. This is a super great deal where you can get over 100 things to do for one set price! I’ll tell you how great it is on another blog.
NY Skyride: New York student travel is always fun and easy with a New York City bus tour. I'm glad your bust trip and your visit to Circle Line Cruises and Intrepid Museum were so memorable for you. And yes! The NYC City Pass is a great way to see multiple NYC tourist attractions in one, two or seven days. Feel free to purchase your passes right here on our website and remember - start your day early. Our virtual tour simulator opens at 8AM and so does the Empire State Building observation deck. Have fun!

This is cousins Kevin Conlon and Kim Borbone when they were 4. They are both 21 now. We took them in to see the Macy's Day Thanksgiving Parade and got this wonderful shot of them with a float and the crowd behind them. You can tell it was very cold that day, and my sister and I dressed them with everything we had (whether it fit or not). It is one of my favorite photos, ever.
NY Skyride: Thank you Sue for sharing your photo. When thinking of New York City sightseeing for the holidays, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is at the top of the list! Name: Sue Conlon

I got tickets for 'Chicago' on Broadway,
reserved a room for us at the Roosevelt
Hotel, and we had a terrific meal out at
a lovely mid-town restaurant. That was a

This is the story of a man who came to New York looking for fortune and fame. His friends told him that he would find many attractive women who had all the five things he needed for the fall season, He also went to New York because since he was a child back in Torreon he had wanted to be in New York Yankees game.
But in Torreon there was no border so had to leave to a city that had a border so he can cross like for example Juarez. When he manage to get to juarez he discovers that crossing to the U.S. was not the hard part getting to New York was. When he got to El Paso he start to work so he can buy a airplane ticket to New York because his friend already had a place for him at his apartment where he can stay until he find a job and afford his own place.
He worked pretty hard and got the ticket, afterward arrived to New York where the promise land was until he realized that there was no place for him, his friend wasn't there and there wasn't even an apartment It was a strip club. At first he said cool he lives here Wow!!, but when tried to enter and told his friends name, they just kicked him out. Later on he realized his friend had just scam out of him, It was just a lonely joke with no fun on its inters. He felt terrible no dream was on his door. His life itself was a joke, a tale.
He hardly tried to find a Job, but there was no people who would hire a dirty worker who doesn't even have a house.
As time passed He believed there was no chance, no opportunity on this greasy land; He was an Homeless.
3 years later, by a glance of his eyes while he was asking for money He saw his traitor friend and told him: -Money?
His friend stared at him and said: -Find a job old man, This is New York!

If you’re going to do a tour in new york city and looking for things to see in New York – I can’t think of a better way than to get the NYC Pass. Knowing how expensive the city is (I choked on the hotel breakfast bill), I thought this was the best deal in the world. With the New York Pass you can see many museums, do hop on hop off tours on double decker buses, take bike tours, walking tours and so much more. The book was so chock full of stuff that at the end of the day we usually had a burger or pizza instead of going for a fancy dinner. We were just too pooped to go party anymore.
I highly suggest the New York Pass as one of the best deals for sightseeing in New York!
NY Skyride: Thank you for your post Barbara. And what a great tip! The NYC pass is a great deal sold right here at skyride.com and offers free entry to nearly every New York City tourist attraction there is. So glad you enjoyed your trip.

I lived in New York City most of my life since a child. But I moved to Ohio for four years and returned to Brooklyn in the summer of 2010. I became busy over the winter and so when the summer of 2011 came I was ready to explore New York City once again. Come to find out my ten year old brother had a field trip to ELLIS ISLAND I was happy to accompany him for the whole day and what mostly caught my attention besides my first visit to the island, my ride on the ferry and all the bunch of people to see around me again, I noticed the RENT-A-BIKE sign across from the ferry line and found out that new yorkers are able to rent bikes which was something I really wanted to do someday as a easy and effective way of traveling through the city!!! I felt much better back home!!!

My husband suffered a tramatic brain injury from a horrible accident. He spent 4 years in various hospitals relearning to walk, talk, eat, even breath on his own. Through-out this endevor he never lost the love of his beloved Yankees! As he recovered I would sneek hotdogs, popcorn, and icecream into the hospital so we could watch the games together and pretend we were in the stadium! He is now home and would do anything to go to a real Yankees game with his family.
NY Skyride: Thank you generously for your entry Lori. Cheers to your husband. And cheers to his continued New York Yankee support!

With 4 kids we don't get to see our favorite team that often. Stuck in a three and a half rain delay.Yankee Red Sox game. We hung in there and the rain cleared. awsome game. I yelled to Nick Swisher and he threw the ball right to me. OH HAPPY DAY! Well worth the wait in the rain.
NY Skyride: Awesome photos Deborah! So glad that the rain cleared, and I can only imagine how great it must have felt to be so close and to catch that baseball. Cheers to another chance to see the Yankees play. Name: Deborah Citarella

My husband took me to New York for my birthday in January. With snow on the ground we had a little "discussion" about the shoes he wanted to wear. I'm thinking something with some traction, and he is thinking something slick and sporty like a dress shoe with tassels. We found parking and set out to discover the Big Apple. We were waiting at the very first crosswalk. His actual VERY FIRST step onto the icy streets of New York, he busted his butt. Some guy came running out of nowhere and leaned over my husband. The guy waves hands together and then straight out to his sides and SCREAMS...."SAFE"! I laughed so hard the streets of New York were icey and almost wet too!
NY Skyride: Hilarious story Monica. A fast paced city like ours isn't always easy to navigate on any icy day. Might I suggest a return to New York City in the spring for a Central Park bicycle rental. Only this time, prepare to tell your husband to wear comfortable shoes as he pedals to dodge the next NYC tourist umpire! Name: Monica Reed

I have a number of children and one of them has always been particularly reserved. I pictured her getting married and having children, not trotting across the globe. Last year she finished high school and this year she has been studying child care. Ten weeks ago she left for Chicago to work on a camp for adults and children with cerebal palsy - with out knowing a single person. Next week she finishes at the camp and heads of for a week in New York - parting from all the wonderful friends she has made at camp. She has worked so hard - as have all of the kids who have been on the camp. Tickets to this game for 4 people would mean that she could take three other people from the backpackers lodge that she is staying at which would be fabulous. I know one of her goals was to go to a serious game while she was in the States. The very idea that this she has left our hometown of Uranquinty with a population of 715 people and landing in New York alone amazes me.
NY Skyride: Thank you for your entry Mollie. How proud you must be of your daughter and her brave travels! I encourage her backpackers lodge to contact us at reservations@skyride.com for group travel discounts to NY Skyride, the Empire State Building observation deck and other NYC tourist attractions during their stay here.
